A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to nonexistent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other party has an outdated address or has made a mistake. The downside of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited messages, but this issue can be solved using anti-spam filtering software. It is also essential to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot forward inbound messages to a third-party address.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of functions, but it is stunningly intuitive, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only one mouse click. All the email addresses that you have will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you will just have to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the concrete email address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and takes yet another mouse click on the same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
A catch-all address can be created with several mouse clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be administered via our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes with any domain name hosted here. To enable the catch-all feature for a specific mailbox, you’ll have to click the button with the exact same name, which will be to the right of each email address. Disabling the feature can be done in the same fashion and will not require more than a click either. If the catch-all option has already been activated for a certain domain, you’ll get a warning. The same is valid if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never disable or change any feature automatically.
